Statement of Faith:

  • THE BIBLE – We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments (66 books), is the true infallible, authoritative, inspired Word of God, which cleanses our souls. It holds the words of eternal life and the keys of the Kingdom of God. The Bible shows us God’s principles and standards for living, and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. The Word of God is the food that sustains us in all circumstances. (John 1:14; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 John 2:5-6)
  • GOD – THREE DIMENSIONS OF ONE GOD (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19; John 17:21-22; 1 Cor. 8:6; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 Tim. 2:5; 1 John 2:22-24)  We believe in one God who is eternal in His existence, Triune in His manifestation, being the Father, Son and Holy Ghost AND that He is Sovereign and Absolute in His authority.
  • GOD THE CREATOR – We believe in the Father who is God Himself, Creator of the universe. (Gen. 1:1; John 1:1)
  • JESUS – We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life and in His miracles. (Luke 3:21-22; John 1:1; Phi. 2:5-11; Col. 2:9)
  • DEATH, BURIAL AND RESSURECTION – We believe that Jesus suffered, died, was buried, and rose from the dead for our total salvation. We believe in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Mark 15:38-39; Matt. 27:58-60; Matt. 28:5-6, Rom. 6:4-5, 1 Pet. 3:18-22)
  • We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 3:36; John 3:31-32; John 14:6)
  • HOLY SPIRIT – We believe in the Holy Spirit who is God indwelling, empowering and regenerating the believer to live godly life. This Holy Spirit is called the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth. (John 14:17, 14:26)
  • THE BLOOD of JESUS – We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ atones for our sins and iniquity. It is through His shed blood that we are saved, healed and set free from bondage and the forces of darkness. (Rom. 5:9-11; Eph. 1:7; Rev. 12:11)
  • BELIEVERS – We believe that every believer must have a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, for apart from Him we can do nothing. Each person has a ministry from God that no one else can fill. We are to instruct, teach, exhort, and admonish believers in the ways of God. (John 15:3-7; Col. 3:16-17)
  • MAN – Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. We believe that salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential to obtain eternal life. (Rom. 3:23-25)
  • SALVATION – The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. (Acts 4:12; Heb. 9:27-28, 1John 1:7)
  • RENEWAL – We must learn His ways and exchange our way of thinking for His. We are to be conformed to the Kingdom of God by the moulding and shaping of His Hands. We believe that we are to wash and renew our minds daily by the Word of God. (Rom. 12:1-2; 1 John 3:3, Eph. 4:23-29; Phi. 4:8)
  • JUSTIFICATION – We believe in justification by faith. We believe that salvation is free and apart from any work of man is a result of the sovereign grace of God. (Rom. 3:24-28; Rom. 5:1&9-11)
  • WORSHIP – We believe in worshipping the Lord in spirit, song, dance, musical instruments and with the raising of our hands. We believe that we are to praise and worship Him with our whole being. (Psa. 150:1-6; John 4:24)
  • We believe that in Godly living and the pursuit of a holy life should be the goal of every believer. (Heb. 12:14, Rom. 6:19, Phil. 3:14)
  • WATER BAPTISM – We believe that believers should be baptised in water by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Saviour. It is through baptism that we publicly identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to a new life. (Rom. 6:3-6; Col. 2:11-14; Acts 2:38)
  • HOLY COMMUNION – We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that all true believers and only believers should partake of the communion elements, which represent the Lord Jesus body and blood. It is by participating in the Lord’s Supper that we proclaim His death until His return. (John 6:53-58; 1 Cor.11:23-30)
  • BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in other tongues. We believe that Christians must be filled daily by using our prayer language, but the evidence of the Holy Spirits indwelling presence is a changed life. (Acts 2:4; Eph. 5:18-21)
  • GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, and healing. (Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 1Cor. 12:1-11)
  • HEALING and DELIVERANCE – We believe that it is God’s will to heal and deliver His people today as He did in the days of the first Apostles. It is by the stripes of Jesus that we are healed, delivered and made whole. We have authority over sickness, disease, demons, curses, and every circumstance in life. (Luke 10:19; 2 Cor. 10:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24)
  • THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST – The personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (Acts 1:11; 1 The. 4:15-17)
  • FUTURE EVENTS – There will be bodily resurrection of all the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. (Rev. 20:4-13)
  • THE CHURCH – The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. (Acts 14:27, 1 Cor. 1:2)
  • GREAT COMMISSION – We believe that the commission to save the lost as our mission. The Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple people of every nation and teach them to obey His commands. (Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16)

“Go into the entire world and preach the gospel to every creature… And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:15-18)

History

This ministry was conceived in the spirit of Pastors Benjamin and Lulama Madire in 2008, and was rekindled on the 6th of February 2010, when the Lord said, “Establish a house of prayer for me” while serving at Cornerstone Assemblies of God. It has taken a number of years and selfless prayers for this word to be birthed into reality.

The church was then established on the 11th of March 2012 under a tree at a brickyard in Leeuwfontein Pretoria, South Africa by Pastors Benjamin and Lulama Madire. Through God’s grace, in September 2012 the church moved from the tree to its current church location in Plot 124 Leeuwfontein.

We are committed to living a life governed by the principles of the eternal Word of God
